Abstract
The most popular games nowadays, both single and multiplayer, are often focused on individual achievements instead of the whole team’s accomplishment. This paper aims to explore how to make a game that is designed with cooperation in mind and how to implement it in 4in1-game. The game is centered around the use of four tablet computers that together make a complete game board. The game itself was made using the game engine Unity and the programming language C#. The visual design elements were created in Photoshop and Blender, since both 2D and 3D elements are used. The development process was also based around theory regarding design patterns, coupling and asymmetry. It could be observed during user testing that morale, team work and cooperation was high, though it was difficult to pinpoint if this was because of one specific theoretical concept or all of them working together in unison. With this, the goal of creating a cooperation game with a root in theory and design was fulfilled.
