Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a multifaceted concept with a variety of definitions that highlight its broad applicability and significance. This study focuses on exploring how future business leaders perceive and engage with CSR, as well as their experiences and attitudes towards this important area. The aim of the study is to gain an in-depth understanding of these future decision-makers' views on CSR and its relevance in the modern business world. To address the research questions, a qualitative approach was employed, conducting semi-structured interviews with fifteen management students at the university level. This method was chosen to enable a deeper insight into the students' personal perceptions and experiences. The data analysis was carried out using a theoretical framework that integrates the Human Resource Management (HRM) perspective and Maslow's hierarchy of needs, which helped to structure and interpret the findings in a meaningful way. The study's results indicate that the students are not only well aware of CSR and its various dimensions but also view CSR engagement as a central and integral part of corporate strategy and operations. In summary, this study highlights the critical role that future business leaders play in promoting and integrating CSR within corporate cultures and business strategies. By understanding how these leaders perceive and value CSR, companies can better navigate the complex interplay between business and social responsibilities.
