Abstract
This research project stems from a passion for music and for the life of a brilliant musician, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, one of the best keyboard player of his time, leaving us over 800 compositions. I chose to undertake the transcription of what I consider one of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's most compelling works. Of the fifty-three concertos he composed for keyboard and orchestra, only two are written for two solo instruments: the Concerto for Two Keyboards, which is the subject of this thesis, and the Concerto for Harpsichord and Fortepiano, Wq 47. Since he wrote no other concertos for two solo instruments and orchestra, I decided to contribute a new work to the flute repertoire by transcribing this concerto, thereby creating the opportunity to perform it on my own instrument while also challenging myself, for the first time, with a project of this kind, founding it both intellectually and artistically stimulating.
