Abstract

Many software and/or automotive companies use UML models to write the requirements and later they are implemented by coding. Involving multiple engineers from different teams makes the whole process complex and cumbersome. The complexity involved to manually check the conformance between the model and implementation makes evaluation and maintenance of the project difficult. This in turn lowers the quality of the design and perhaps the project. This inefficient process is time consuming and error prone. Automated tools makes the whole process simple and efficient. The primary objective of the study is to design and develop one such automated tool. For the mapping schema automation, a research method is developed and it is evaluated on the case study project. Result of the work and conformance checker indicates that, by automating the process of mapping schema, engineers will get valuable assistance in assessing and fixing the process errors and violations in the project.
