Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether or not the user of a WAP-phone could create her own individual interface. We do the investigation on the basis of both the technology and the user. Therefore we divide the study into the two corresponding parts; development of a prototype with which the user could customize the interface and an evaluation of that prototype involving interviews. The development of the prototype was successful which proves that it is technically possible to make an adaptable application for a cellular phone. The evaluation of the prototype, as well, showed that it is possible to give the responsibility of the customization to the user.
