Theory: This study examines cybervetting practices from the point of person-environment (P-E) fit theory and competence based recruitment. Method: Qualitative methods; individual structured interviews and participant observations Result: Cybervetting has been used in recruitment agencies in Croatia on an irregular basis. Even though the practice is conducted irregularly, the empirical findings suggest that recruiters are mostly not aware of the fact that they often do engage in cybervetting. Cybervetting practices further differ depending on the recruitment approach used
