Playing With Memories

Abstract

This report is an attempt, by words, to describe the creative process and the ideas behind my bachelor project, which has been focusing on questions about memories, identity, and playfulness. During this process, I have worked with a playful and intuitive approach, trying to challenge myself by not having any defined destinations, and to stay as open as I can for anything that might pop up. Grayson Perry, Katrine Køster Holst, and Martin Creed are some of the artists I have chosen to refer to in this paper. All of them are contemporary artists, working in very different manners and in diverse materials and medias. In the end of this report I am discussing ideas and questions that has come up during this process. Hence, some of these questions remain unanswered, allows me to play around with my imagination and speculate about future work and projects.
