Abstract
In the ever-evolving landscape of digital transformation, organizations face the challenge of effectively adapting to technological advancements. This study explores how managers implement leadership principles to navigate digital transformations successfully. Drawing on transformational leadership theory and change management literature, our research reveals that transformational leadership principles, including idealized influence, inspirational motivation, and intellectual stimulation, play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives. Notably, managers act as role models, engage key influencers, and promote an entrepreneurial mindset to foster innovation and resilience. However, while individualized consideration is a key component of transformational leadership theory, it appears somewhat overlooked in the context of digital transformation. Despite this, managers report successful outcomes, challenging traditional notions of leadership. This study offers a comprehensive understanding of leadership in digital transformation, providing insights for leaders to navigate the complexities of change effectively.
