Abstract

This study exploser the perceptions of political participation among high-school students and examines the role of education in shaping these views. The research examines the changing perspectives on ’Political Participation’ and the impact of social media on youth engagement. It also investigates the concept of ’Political Efficacy’ and how school socialization influences students political involvement. Utilizing a comprehensive theoretical framework, the study employs a descriptive survey design to gather data on students opinions. The findings reveal a nuanced understanding of political involvement, highlighting the importance of broadening the definition of political participation to include new forms of engagement prevalent among the youth. This research contributes to the discourse on political engagement and the educational strategies that can foster an active and informed citizenry.
