| This master thesis contains a description of SAP/R3 and Lotus Notes with their major features, components, and functionalities. The paper consists of a concise analyse of the underlying principles such as Process-Orientation and GroupWare that the two products are based on. Further this thesis identifies the differences between SAP/R3 and Lotus Notes from the perspectives of architecture, Business Process Reengineering, implementation, and new technologies. I consider SAP/R3 and Lotus Notes to be complementing rather than competing products. That is why I found out that Notes connection to SAP/R3 is an interesting concept for improved information management. | swe | |
