Abstract

ABSTRACT History can be defined as our reality that has passed. There are clues to why our society and culture looks the way it does. Clues to why revolutions emerge or why a certain soap opera is not on anymore. All historical routes and lines of development have brought us to where we are today – and this project illustrates some few moments on this route. I sense that The Swedish history is often presented without nuances and in a narrow-minded way in printed media. There is a lack of variation and varieties – partly based on conformity in aesthetics. My project-work is my reaction on this. »Ånyo« (Again) is a project that illustrates touchdowns in Swedish history. The result is a book with pictures and texts on a broad selection of historical persons and events. Now and then, large and small, mishaps and achievements. The purpose is to increase the interest for the subject – via an unprejudiced and entertaining entrance to Swedish history.
