Abstract

Shining relations is a project that has its starting point in the theme relation, between people. The result of the project is three functional everydayproducts with an added value in purpose to evoke reflection over our relations to other people. The three products appear in everyday rituals where the meeting between people happened and create a condition for shining relations. The products are a coat rack /floorlamp, a ceiling armature and a candlestick. Light is a common denominator in the three products as a symbol for human warmth, emotions and change in a situation. Shining relations is a design project in a humanistic point of view and what happened when people integrate with products. It is not the product it self that create shining relations. It is the thoughts and actions that follow from the products added values. Sustainable design for sustainable relationship.
