Abstract
This bachelor thesis investigates the concept of long-term value creation through a qualitative case study of the prominent investment firm, Latour. By examining the alignment between theoretical frameworks and practical applications, the study aims to uncover how Latour executes its long-term investment strategies and fosters sustainable growth. Utilizing semi-structured interviews and a comprehensive literature review, the research highlights the complexities of corporate governance, strategic decision-making, and stakeholder interactions that develop Latour’s approach. The findings reveal that while Latour adheres to certain established theories of value creation, it also employs a dynamic mix of strategies tailored to specific market conditions. While the findings highlight Latour’s strategy of mitigating market fluctuations and creating enduring value, the study also acknowledges the limitations of generalizing these results due to its single-case focus. Ultimately, this thesis provides valuable insights into the practical implementation of long-term value creation theories, contributing to the broader understanding of sustainable investment strategies.
