Johannesevangeliets "Jag är". En jämförande studie av "Jag är" och dess metaforer i Johannesevangeliet med Gamla testamentet och Synoptikerna
"I am" in the Gospel of John. A comparative study of "I am" sayings and metaphors in the Gospel of John compared to the Synoptics and the Septuagint
Abstract
This study is an attempt to compare those parts of the Gospel of John which
contain ”I am” sayings and metaphors with the Synoptic Gospels and the Old
Testament. The method was simply to seek for phrases of ”I Am” in the
Septuagint and in the Novum Testamentum Graece . The meaning of the
metaphors in the Gospel of John were hermeneutically interpreted and compared
to the contents of those texts in the Synoptic Gospels and in the Old Testament
and which also contained phrases of ”I Am.”
”I am” sayings are considerably more frequent in the Gospel of John than in the
other canonical gospels. ”I am” sayings were found in Exodus, Leviticus and
Ezekiel and Jeremiah and Isaiah. Together texts from these three prophets
contain all the words of metaphors in the Gospel of John.
