Description of project
During their participating, in the artistic method developing and inter/trans-disciplinary project Nordic Recreation Method, the choreographer Maija Hirvanen and artist Fredric Gunve kept an ongoing communication on messenger with each other.
By not deciding on a clear direction for the initially seemingly unfocused communication the process were allowed to take different shapes and forms and kept as long as possible in process. The method of not making decisions for neither where or why the project/process were heading, or what was part or not part of the process, created its own shape and direction by the absence. An absence of meetings between the two and absence of obvious connections between the artist/choreograph, of directions, aims and almost of intentions. But by using the absence as a presence a third entity between the two emerged; a GHOST got called forth in the Messenger messages that were sent between Maija and Fredric.
“ You, and our ongoing search for a method/meeting and becoming is now a hidden part of today. Maybe this can be a start for? I will bring your (unknown) ghost into my practice and everyday life.”
“ I think this unknown ghost approach brings a great level to consider/embody. Not taking "method" as too pedantic area. Self-evident but just saying aloud. “
The GOHST became a present that took part in the both artist/choreographers everyday life. The method and process where animated and brought into the twos life’s as a third living being, making the task of being in process and being in artistic method possible. To be asked to create, but not show what have been created, but to be in creative process and present what is ongoing (not what have been done) is not an easy task. The GHOST took the place of something being able of being both inside the process and at the same time being able to look at the process from outside. The GHOST of two artists in meeting, in process became the method and what was presented at ATALANTE on the 28 of May.

(and tell).”
LETTER OF INVITATION:
We are happy to invite you to Nordic Recreation Method. We hope that you’re still interested to be involved in this project. For approximately one month you will work with a dancer/artist to explore processes and methods for your practices. Our role as project managers/curators is to support you during your time together. How you plan your work time is entirely up to you as invited couples. We will not control or influence your process, but would stress that this is not focused on an end artwork/performance. “
This project will begin with a start up meeting, where you as artists have the chance to present your art and yourselves. At this day we will also give you more information and get you started! The time for this first meeting is Saturday, February 6th at 10am at HDK in Gothenburg.
Nordic ReCreation is funded by the City of Gothenburg and the Nordic Culture Fund, because of this we will arrange for two days with all participants May 27-28, at Atalante in Gothenburg. This Presentation/Lecture/Seminar/Workshop/Performance will be public.

“ Teaching is a slow way of changing/taking part of the endless re-volting world(s) turning/moving/spams/brea thing - slow and often annoying compered to making art. Teaching is a practice that refuse to be exactly pinpointed, to much/to many take part; eyes, gazes, emotions, voices(silent and loud), wills, minds, languages, bodies. I enter with a/ present a form FRAME, a barrier (realm/universe) within I ask everyone if they like to follow. ”
