art.description.projectThis CD recording represents the composer’s recent chamber opera Die Geisterinsel based on Shakespeare’s Tempest that was premiered by the Staatsoper Stuttgart in 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany. It refers to Rudolph Zumsteeg’s opera of the same title from the late 18th century with text by Friedrich Wilhelm Gotter. Additionally included on the CD is a chamber work for mezzo-soprano premiered by Gageego! in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2012 with text by Friedrich Hölderlin. Also, a short guitar piece by Seth Josel based on Goya’s Capricos Goyescas originally premiered by Jürgen Ruck in 2008 in Münich, Germany.sv
