This report describes a design- and constructionorder of a private garden in Bournemouth, England. The garden is inspired by four Arts and Crafts gardens in England; Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Tintinhull Garden, Great Dixter och Hestercombe Gardens that I visited and studied during the two months when I worked with the project. My questions included the following: - What are the distinguishing features in these historical gardens? - How could I use these in the shaping of a smaller modern garden in relation to the wishes of the client? The report describes the process from idea to the final form of the garden with text, sketches and photos as well as a discussion of the experiences and conclusions I could make about my role as a “designing gardener” in this paticular garden.sv
