chapter is primarily based on Scott Morton and Macintosh framework. The empirical study
consists of suppliers of Data mining solutions, owners of the systems and users. This method
is used to get different aspects of Data mining. The main results of the study are that Data
mining primarily can be used on problems with high knowledge availability and with high
variation in knowledge need. Critical factors to consider when using Data mining are
systemintegration the knowledge and competence of the users and the quality of the data.
