Distansarbetets påverkan – en studie om medarbetares upplevda produktivitet, välbefinnande och sociala dynamik
Abstract
Remote work has become a central part of many people's professional lives, primarily due to the acceleration of digitalization following Covid-19. This study explores the impact of remote work on employees' perceived productivity, well-being, and social dynamics. By conducting a case study of a specific company and utilizing qualitative interviews with both employees and managers, the research provides an in-depth analysis of individual experiences and perspectives. The results indicate that remote work frequently enhances individual productivity through reduced distractions and increased flexibility. However, it may also undermine team productivity and weaken the organization's social dynamics. Physical presence at the office promotes spontaneous interactions and knowledge sharing among colleagues, factors that are crucial for maintaining strong social dynamics and foster employee well-being. Furthermore, the study highlights the challenges associated with remote leadership, emphasizing the central importance of effective communication. Finally, the study addresses the outlook for the future, suggesting that a sustainable model is a hybrid approach that balances flexibility with opportunities for social interaction.
