Hybridarbete och dess inverkan på kommunikation och samarbete. En fallstudie om medarbetares och chefers upplevelser av kommunikation och samarbete vid användningen av hybridarbete i en offentlig organisation
Abstract
In this bachelor's thesis, the authors aimed to investigate the perceived impact on communication and collaboration within a public organization that applies hybrid work. To answer the purpose, the study's theoretical frame of reference has its starting point in
theories about communication and collaboration. The study has been inspired by the abductive approach where a qualitative method in the form of an interview study has been carried out to answer the study's research questions. A total of 14 semi-structured interviews have been conducted with employees and managers who all work within the same organization that applies the hybrid work model. Results of the study show a variety of experiences and opinions related to the impact of hybrid work on communication and collaboration, but where it was observed that the two factors are mutually dependent on each
other to function effectively. Different methods were identified which the public organization applies to maintain both good communication and a well-functioning collaboration. The conclusion of this bachelor's thesis is that there is a varied experience of the impact of hybrid work on communication and collaboration. It is therefore recommended to introduce clearer guidelines for hybrid work in the investigated organization. These recommendations form an essential basis for promoting effective communication and a well-functioning collaboration. The study emphasizes the importance of developing appropriate methods that work for all employees within the organization.
