In this thesis, theories and research on self-leadership are a central part and are problematized throughout the report. In the wake of the coronapandemic, part time teleworking has become a more common feature in organizations, where self-leadership can have an important role in how individuals handle and experience their partly new work context. The purpose of the study was to investigate the importance of self-leadership in relation to the individual's demarcation strategies and job satisfaction in teleworking, among employees in the white-collar sector. The purpose governed the theoretical framework in the mentioned subjects. Manz's theory of self-leadership with its three strategies is a major part in the thesis, and to measure self-leadership, a proven questioning tool called the Abbreviated Self-Leadership Questionnaire was used. The study method was quantitative in the form of a self-assessment web survey, with a total of 110 participants whose anonymous answers were analyzed in SPSS. The results of the study showed that the participants who partly work remotely had high levels of self-leadership and job satisfaction. The individuals also showed high levels of demarcation strategies and that they enjoyed working remotely. Correlation analyzes found a relationship between self-leadership and job satisfaction, but surprisingly no relationship between self-leadership and demarcation strategies. The report concludes with a discussion of whether it is really self-leadership that is the most important factor for successful teleworking, and what other factors may come into play. The study's limitations and suggestions for further research ends up in suggesting further analyzing self-leadership in relation to other background variables and focusing on the degree of demarcation, which can be an important factor in telework.en
