Nya tider, nytt styrmedel. En fallstudie i kopplingen mellan CSR och motivation
Abstract
This case study has investigated the possibility of utilizing current CSR commitments to further
employee motivation, by exploring the relation between motivation and alignment in
commitments to social challenges. Self Determination Theory, Institutional Theory and
Systems Theory has been used to explore the positive correlation between CSR and Motivation, as shown by Kunz (2020). The results indicate that both the institutional aspect and Self Determination Theory aspect provide pieces of the motivational puzzle, that CSR has an effect, and that CSR is indeed a viable prospect for a modern motivational form of governance. In addition, the case study has also been able to provide an interesting hypothesis regarding the possible focus of a future CSR based governance policy, to influence motivation in employees.
