art.description.project | Recently there are many collaborative projects about/with suburban groups of people, but what we often don’t hear, is what those people are trying themselves, to make differences, using their own cultural backgrounds. I was working in the group Globala Tanter, a grassroots curator/artist group who is living in those communities would like to highlight those inspirational people and learn from communities, and share with design students, teachers, museum professionals and cultural workers. As Globala Tanter, we aim to empower ourselves by arranging and doing cultural activities, as well as other immigrants in the similar socio-economic situations, we would like to make most of our participation, in order to learn from other people’s creative process and unlearn our prejudices, by sharing experiences. | sv |
