dc.description.abstract	A design of a voice-based recipe book application is carried out in this project. The design is mainly based on a communicative perspective which offers theoretical clues to the human-computer interaction design; therefore, the communication between the system and the users could be more fluent, efficient and similar to a real life interaction. The implementation of the final application is based on VoiceXML and Python, and then tested on the platform offered by Voxeo.	sv
