| dc.description.abstract | In February 2009 the Royal Library (the National Library of Sweden) announced funding for the development
area “LIBRIS as a local OPAC”. The university libraries in Gothenburg, Lund, Uppsala and Växjö jointly applied
for the project.
The aim of the project was to investigate possibilities, problems and expectations concerning the concept of
using the national union catalog LIBRIS as a local OPAC (hereafter L‐OPAC), including access to local
circulation information and services.
The goal has been to provide a decision‐making basis for the Royal Library regarding possible further
